Verify the pump lines are free of debris and clogging by checking the filter attachment. Attach the vacuum hose to the pump and then the vacuum head. The hose end that swivels attaches to the vacuum head and is designed to keep air out of the system. Reversing the hose ends will introduce air into the pump causing erratic operation of the filter system. Verify the vacuum head is in the deep end to fill with water.
