You spend a small fortune on a pair of prescription glasses, only to find a week or two later that they’ve already picked up a few scratches. Deeper scratches may require a new lens. Take note of the type of lens in your glasses. If your lenses are glass, you must be realistic; your efforts to remove scratches may be unsuccessful. If your lenses are plastic, you are far more likely to to remove the scratches successfully. Apply a dab of toothpaste to the scratched area of the lens. Use a soft cloth to gently rub the scratched area with the toothpaste. Rub the toothpaste into the scratch itself and all around. Rub in circular fashion for several minutes.
