How Do You Remove Scotch Tape Residue?
Scotch tape is like manna from heaven when you need to fasten one thing to another, but it can become sheer torture when trying to get the residue off. Removal of tape residue can either be easy or time consuming depending on a number of factors, such as how long the tape has been applied and the kind of surface it has been applied to, but there are several remedies that will do the trick. Spray some Goo Gone on the residue and let it sit. Goo Gone, a commercial cleaning product found at hardware and grocery stores, effective at removing a variety of stains. After giving Goo Gone time to break down the adhesive, just wipe it away with a cloth. Mix hot water and liquid soap and apply it to the tape residue. The hot water and soap should act as a solvent, loosening the glue enough so that you can use a sponge to rub the tape glue free. Soak a large cotton ball in rubbing alcohol. Rub the cotton ball back and forth over the tape glue residue. Afterward, cleanse with a washcloth and warm w
