Coach lights add beauty and sophistication to a home. They are often ornamental and use screws that are decorative and may not seal as well as standard screws. Due to the coach light position being usually exposed to the elements, it is very likely that these screws will rust, corroding over the head and first few threads to bond with the exterior of the lamp. Removing a rusted screw is not impossible, but it does take care to remove one without damaging or breaking the screw and causing an even bigger problem. Step 1 Spray a generous amount of penetrative lubricant like WD-40 onto the screw. Get along the sides of the screw to allow some to seep under and down into the first threads.
