How Do You Remove Rubber Cement From Walls?
Rubber cement is a commonly-used adhesive that is easy to apply and easy to remove from most hard surfaces. Rubber cement can be easily rubbed off most walls. The glossier the paint, the easier it should be to remove. It may be more difficult to remove from textured or porous walls, or walls that are covered with a fabric-type wallpaper. Use a paper towel to wipe off any rubber cement that is still liquid. Scrape off cement with a plastic scraper. Do not scrape textured walls, as it may damage the texture. Rub off any cement you couldn’t scrape off using a crepe rubber cement pick-up (available at arts and crafts stores). Dab any stain that may linger (such as on wallpaper) with dry cleaning solution. Add 1 tbsp. neutral laundry detergent to a cup of lukewarm water. Blot the stain with the mixture and a sponge. Wipe with a wet rag and let dry.
