How Do You Remove Roller Skate Bearings?
Many skate shops sell tools designed to remove skate wheels and bearings. While these tools are effective, with a little care, you can achieve the same results using a socket wrench, a tool you may already have lying around the house. Remove the skate wheel with the socket wrench. Place the wheel on the axle so the the tip of the axle catches the bearing but not the wheel. Apply slow, steady, downward pressure on the wheel until the bearing pops out. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 on the remaining bearings.
