Your holiday party was a big success… except for the wine stains all over the place! Follow these steps to completely remove red wine stains from fabrics like table cloths, clothing, and carpet. You don’t need any expensive, fancy products – just your simple everyday household items. Wet the stain with a clean, wet rag. Start at the inside of stain and rub outwards toward the edges. Mix a capful of white detergent (or dish washing liquid) and hydrogen peroxide together and pour mixture onto the stain. Make sure the detergent and hydrogen peroxide are fresh. If the bottles are more than a few months old, the mixture won’t be as effective in removing the stain. Let the mixture soak in for a while to pre-treat the stain before you begin rubbing it out. Add more and repeat as necessary. Work the stain from inside out. Start at the middle of the stain and rub outwards toward the edges. This process will take time!
