Scoop and blot up as much of the paint as possible. If there is a thick puddle of paint, use a plastic spoon to gently scoop it up. Take care not spread it to unaffected areas of the carpet. Blot the paint spot with a thick layer of paper towels. Switch to clean paper towels as one layer becomes soiled. Continue blotting until no more paint transfers from the carpet to the paper towels.
