When your Whirlpool Duet washer is draining slowly, take a look at the water pump. The Duet will normally display a code of F-09 or F-02 on the control display indicating a problem with the pump. Remove the pump from the Duet to inspect and replace it if necessary. The pump is located directly behind the toe panel on the front of the Duet washer. Unplug the Whirlpool Duet power cord from the wall outlet. Turn the off the water supply valves on the wall where the washer hoses connect to the house lines. Locate the three screws that secure the bottom of the toe panel to the washer cabinet. There will be a screw near each corner and one in the bottom center of the toe panel.
