How Do You Remove Printing Ink From Paper?
Removing ink from paper can be daunting. When you make mistakes with ink, correction tapes, white out fluids and erasable ink are the best options for correcting those mistakes. If the ink is permanent, though, as is printing ink, yet must be removed, you are in for a challenge, because traditional methods will not suffice. Luckily, with the purchase of the appropriate supplies, you can remove printing ink from paper. Don your rubber gloves, and dilute 1 tablespoon of spirit of salts (also known as hydrochloric acid) in 5 tablespoons of water in a small bowl. Apply the mixture to the printing ink with a cotton ball by gently dabbing and rubbing it onto the paper. Allow the solution to sit on the paper approximately one minute before removing it by rubbing a cotton ball dampened with clean water over the paper.
