How Do You Remove Post Buttons From Clothing?
Post buttons are raised buttons found on garments made from sturdy fabrics like cotton. If you want to change the look of your garment by adding new buttons or need to change from buttons to Velcro closures, you will find it easy to remove raised buttons with the correct tools. Turn the garment wrong side out. Firmly grasp the garment near the post buttons. Take your seam ripper in your other hand and work under the button threads, cutting the threads with the seam ripper. Alternatively, use a sharp pair of scissors to cut at the top of the threads near the button ends. Do not cut near the fabric where the buttons are placed or you might cut into the fabric.
