How Do You Remove Pinstriping Tape?
Pinstriping tape is a type of modification that can be done to cars or trucks to add a certain flare to the paint job. It is done most commonly using stickers or vinyl. Although pinstriping has been around forever, it appeals to some and others dislike it. The pinstripes can be removed from a vehicle with a little preparation. Heat the pinstripe with a hair dryer or heat gun. This will loosen the glue holding it in place. Hold the hair dryer about 12 to 24 inches away from the car and move back and forth over a 2-foot section of pinstripe for five minutes. Keeping it at least 12 inches from the car will prevent any damage to the paint. Use your finger nails to pick at the edge of the pinstripe and peel if off. Begin at either the front or the rear of the pinstripe as this will be the easiest place to get a good edge. Continue rotating between the hair dryer and peeling until the pinstripe has been completely removed. Apply a generous amount of Goo-Gone to a clean paper towel. Wipe away
