How Do You Remove Pet Vomit Stains & Odors From Carpet?
Vomit accidents with your pet are bound to occur sometime during its life. Pets, especially dogs, like to eat and chew on items that can upset their tummies. Even hungry pets can throw up yellow bile that upsets an empty stomach. Vomit and yellow bile are acidic and leave stains and odors quickly on a carpet. Remove the stain as soon as you are aware of it; otherwise, the odor and stain may linger longer than you wish. Scoop the pet vomit up with paper towels. Dab the carpet with a wet rag to loosen pieces stuck in the threads of the carpet and remove them. Sprinkle the area generously with baking soda. Baking soda dries the leftover vomit and neutralizes the odor. Allow the baking soda to dry the area for one to two hours. Vacuum the baking soda from the carpet after it has dried.
