How Do You Remove Pet Stains From Wool Carpet?
Wool carpet is well known for being plush, durable and attractive. These attributes are also the reason why wool carpet can also be expensive to clean. Accidents can happen on your pricey wool carpeting, including pet stains and the odors they leave behind. Before you remove the carpeting or call in a professional because you believe that wool is too difficult to clean, there is a way to remove the stains without harming the carpet’s fibers. Soak up any excess liquid that may be left behind with a piece of paper towel. Mix equal parts white vinegar and wool cleaner or detergent in a medium-sized bowl. Add the mixture to one liter of warm water. Soak a small hand towel with the vinegar solution, and gently pat at the stain, starting from the outer edge, working your way toward the center. Repeat, working at the stain with the vinegar-solution-soaked-cloth until the stain is completely removed. Allow the carpet to dry completely before vacuuming.
