How Do You Remove Pet Stains From Grout?
Pets are hard on houses, especially floors. Messes left behind by your pets may clean easily off of tile floors, but the grout is a different story. If not tackled correctly, grout can show signs of pet stains long after you’ve cleaned them. Odor and discoloration linger on grout, making your floors look aged and worn. Quick attention and proper cleaning can help keep tile and grout looking like new. Mix one cup of bleach with one gallon of warm water in a mixing bowl or bucket. You can also use a mixture of one ounce of oxygen bleach and once quart of warm water. Soak the floor with the bleach solution and let it stand for five minutes. Scrub the floor with a grout brush, paying special attention to stained areas. Rinse the floor with cool water and wet cloth or sponge, making sure to remove all of the bleach. Let the floors air dry or dry using a towel.
