How Do You Remove Pet Stains From Carpets?

0

Pet accidents can ruin your beautiful carpet, but you can remove the stains with items found in your pantry. If you’re considering ripping out your carpet because Fido had a little “oops” on it, think again. The tips below will keep your carpet looking new and smelling fresh after an unfortunate pet accident. Pick up any solid material from feces or vomit with a paper towel or rag. Dampen the area with a solution of 1 part white vinegar, 2 parts warm water. Blot this back up using a clean paper towel or rag. Liberally sprinkle baking soda or salt over the stain. Thoroughly coat the stain even if it means a small mountain of baking soda or salt on your floor. Allow the baking soda or salt to sit for at least a few hours or even overnight until it dries completely. This should draw the stain out of the carpet. Vacuum the debris created by the baking soda or salt. Your stain should be gone.
