Rugs serve a number of purposes in your home. They can protect your feet from the cold floor or lend just the right amount of color to a room, contributing to the look and atmosphere. These odors can be removed easily with a little know-how and a few materials. Blot up any moisture from the rug with paper towels and discard them immediately. Mix white vinegar and water in equal parts in a spray bottle. Add a couple of drops of dish soap to the solution. Spray the affected area with the solution and allow it to soak for five minutes.
