How Do You Remove Peerless Lever Handle Faucets?
Peerless faucets are known for their quality construction and their aesthetic appeal. However, even these faucets can eventually develop problems. Peerless faucets which feature lever-style handles are cartridge faucets. At the base of each faucet valve is a rubber washer and a rubber O-ring. Over time, these rubber pieces tend to corrode from repeated use, resulting in leaks. To either repair or replace the faucets, they must first be removed. Turn each of the two water supply valves located underneath the sink in a clockwise direction to turn the water supply off. Remove each handle’s set screw with an Allen wrench, then remove the handles. The set screw is a single recessed screw located just below the lever on the handle. Lift the handles away from the faucet assembly once the set screws are removed to reveal the packing nuts. Grasp the packing nut with a wrench, then twist it in a counterclockwise direction to remove it. Pull each faucet out of the faucet assembly to complete the
