How do you remove paint stains on clothes?
Painting is a messy job. Whether you are painting walls, cabinets or crafts, it seems almost impossible to get through a paint job without getting paint on your clothes. It is important to determine what kind of paint is on the clothing before attempting stain removal. Water-based paint stains are treated differently than oil-based paint stains. If you are unsure of the type of paint, begin with the process of removing water-based paint because this requires mild solvents and is easier. If the paint stain remains, move on to the process of removing oil-based paint stains. Remove as much of the wet paint as possible. Use a butter knife to gently scrape the paint, taking care not to spread the paint or damage the fabric. Blot the paint stain with a rag to absorb the paint. Switch to clean portions of the rag as one becomes soiled. Continue blotting until no more paint transfers from the fabric to the rag. Saturate a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol. Dab the alcohol directly on the paint
