How Do You Remove Paint Stains In Clothes?

0

Many people claim that paint thinner can be used to safely remove paint stains without damaging clothing. However, the term “paint thinner” is often misused and some types of paint solvents can ruin the very clothing you are trying to save. Before you try to remove paint stains on clothes, know the appropriate materials to use and the proper ways to employ them. Lay the clothes on a stiff surface like a board or cement. Scrape loose as much paint from the clothes as you can using a plastic putty knife. Fill a plastic bucket about one-inch high with turpentine. Dip the stained portion of the clothing into the turpentine. Allow it to soak for five minutes. Remove the clothing and lay it back on the hard surface. Scrub away the paint stain using a rag. Scrub in a circular, clock-wise motion. Repeat steps four, five, six and seven until the paint stain has been removed. Wash the clothing using regular detergent.
