Sometimes, even when you have thoroughly taped down plastic over a carpet during wall painting sessions, paint still gets on the carpet. Although resolving this situation is a nuisance, there is little reason to be alarmed or to consider replacing the entire carpet. With determination and a fair amount of elbow grease, the spilled paint will eventually come up. Before attempting any solution besides plain water, test a spot of carpet with the solution to check for color-fastness. You don’t want to create an even bigger problem by accidentally bleaching your carpet. If the paint hasn’t yet dried, blot up as much as possible with damp paper towels or cloths. Mix 2 tbsp.of liquid dish soap for every 3 cups of water in a container. Soak paper towels or cloths in the dish soap mixture.
