How Do You Remove Paint From A Rock?
• Determine the type of paint used. Once this is established, the rest is easy. • For oil base paint, use biodegradable paint stripper or mineral spirits. • For latex or acrylic based paint, use biodegradable paint stripper. • Soak your rock in the bucket with the stripper/ mineral spirits for a few hours. • Take your wire brush and see if the paint is loosened up at all, if the paint is still fimly attached to the rock more soaking is in order. Repeat until the rock is restored to its original beauty.
