How Do You Remove Old Stains With Hydrogen Peroxide?

0

Ann asked: How do I remove old food grease stains from fabric? I found, and lost, some instructions on using hydrogen peroxide to remove old food stains. I can’t remember what other product was used in conjunction with the peroxide. Any ideas? Hydrogen peroxide works well on organic stains (blood, grease, grass, etc.). It can be used straight up. Just fill a spray bottle to keep it handy whenever stains arise. If extra cleaning power is needed, fill a second bottle with vinegar. Spray some hydrogen peroxide on the stain and follow it with some vinegar. Together, these two products will remove most stains. Remember to test a small area first to ensure there are no adverse effects to the fabric.Vinegar is also often mixed with regular detergent (such as dawn) for pigmented stains such as red wine. Happy cleaning!
