How Do You Remove Nails From Concrete Flooring?
Concrete nails are used to secure or hold objects onto concrete surfaces, such as flooring, framed walls and bracing. Concrete nails are made with harder metal materials than wood nails, making them more difficult to remove. A convenient way of removing a concrete nail is by using the blunt force of a hammer against a prying tool, such as a nail puller, to dislodge it. Use a prying tool with a long handle, which will allow optimum prying pressure. Step 1 Place the claw end of the nail puller next to the nail head. The claw tips should be pointing at a slight downward angle. Step 2 Tap the back of the nail puller directly behind the claw if there is no space between the nail head and the concrete. Continue this until the claw is forced under the nail head. Step 3 Grasp the nail puller with one hand and hit the back end of the prying tool with the opposite hand.
