To clean it you want to avoid using ammonia, but if you are looking for an easy way to remove the Mylar film, you can use a mild ammonia solution to dissolve the Mylar and wipe it away. How to Remove Mylar From Windows Step 1 Pour equal parts ammonia, vinegar and water into the spray bottle. Close the nozzle and tighten.
