How Do You Remove MP3 Player Utilities?
Electronics and software installed on a computer usually come with a utility package. When an MP3 player is installed, the utility package may take the form of a folder that contains plug-ins, setup files, or other applications. However, sometimes a conventional removal will not completely uninstall the utilities. To properly uninstall your MP3 player it is necessary to delete the utility folder and sub-folders manually. Step 1 Uninstall the software. Click the “Start” button and go to the “Control Panel.” Select either “Add/Remove Programs” or “Programs and Features” depending on the OS. Double click on the MP3 player software icon to uninstall the program. Step 2 Delete the file directory. Go to “My Computer > Preload C > Program Files.” Right-click on the MP3 player utility folder and select “Delete.” Empty the Recycling Bin when you are done. Step 3 Open the Windows Registry Editor. Click the “Start” button and type “Regedit” into either the “Search” or “Run” bar then press “Enter.
