How Do You Remove Motorcycle Wheel Chocks?
Motorcycle wheel chocks are used to stabilize a motorcycle either inside a truck during transportation or in the garage. When you are transporting a bike in the back of a truck, a chock will take some of the stress off of the straps that are used to hold the bike in place, because the chock supports the bike. Chocks are used for long term storage to reduce damage or stress that would otherwise be put on the kickstand. For some bikes that don’t have kickstands, like dirt bikes, motorcycle chocks are necessary to park the bike overnight. Step 1 Release the lever on the bottom or side of the rear chock. This latch holds the wheel cup in place. This latch is usually a spring loaded or locking type of latch. A quick inspection should tell you what type it is. Step 2 Lower the kickstand if it is not already lowered and lock it into place. You will hear a clacking sound when the kickstand is completely jettisoned. Grasp the handle bars and then plant your feet firmly on one side of the bike.
