Fill the washer with hot soapy water. Add 1 cup of bleach and allow to agitate to mix thoroughly. Place the towels in the washer and let them soak for 20 minutes. Launder as usual. Light-colored or white towels will come out bright and odorless. Soak colored towels in hot water with 2 cups white vinegar. Allow to rest for 20 minutes and run through the wash cycle.
