How Do You Remove Mold From Tile & Grout?

0

Mold is a fungus caused by microorganisms. It grows, and thrives, in moist environments where it can feed on organic materials. Kitchens and bathrooms are ideal locations for mold growth, especially on tile and the grout that seals areas around the tub and countertops. Mold is known to aggravate allergy and asthma symptoms. Mix together 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 cup of borax in a spray bottle. Add 2 cups of water. Spray mixture directly onto the mold and let stand for five minutes. Scrub and rinse. Mix hydrogen peroxide and water in a spray bottle. Spray directly onto mold and let sit for 20 minutes. Scrub and repeat, if necessary.
