The Chevy Impala headlight assembly has three bulbs in it: the low-beam, the high-beam and the directional marker. Moisture inside the headlight assembly on an Impala can lead to costly electrical repairs if you don’t quickly attend to the problem. You don’t have to buy a new headlight assembly as long as it’s not damaged or cracked. Many times, headlight assemblies begin to weaken at the seams, allowing moisture to get inside the unit. Another area of concern is the rubber boot sealing the bulb access area at the back of the assembly.
