How Do You Remove Mildew Stains From White Clothing?
Mildew stains can be very difficult to remove from white fabrics and clothing. The mildew stains become imbedded in the fabric and seem to really take hold. They appear to be permanent stains, but they can be removed. A mildew stain on white clothing does not mean the clothes are headed for the rag bag. It means you have to do a little extra work to get the stains out. Mildew stains can show up on fabric shower curtain, drapes, window curtains or wet and damp clothing left for too long. Mildew grows in a warm and damp environment. The best measure against these type of stains is prevention. Step 1 In a large bucket add 1 cup of bleach and about 4 cups of water. Stir to mix. Step 2 Place the fabric with the mildew stain into the bleach and water mixture. Be sure the entire piece is completely submerged. Let it soak for about 15 minutes.
