How Do You Remove Mildew Smell From A Mattress?
Sometimes, while lying in bed, you start to smell something that just isn’t right. You determine that it is a musty or mildew smell. Perhaps you spilled a drink on your bed a month earlier, or your bed has been in storage. Perhaps you had a flood and still smell its after effects on the mattress. Whatever the cause of the mildew smell, there are some things you can try to remove it before replacing the entire mattress. Step 1 Get your mattress outside if possible. Place it on two sawhorses or something similar to get it up off the ground, exposing both sides of the mattress to the air and the top side to sunlight. Step 2 Liberally spray both sides of your entire mattress with one-half bleach, one-half water mixture. This will probably discolor the fabric, but is the best method to remove mildew.
