How Do You Remove Melted Candle Wax From A Tablecloth Or Candlesticks?

0

So you hosted a fabulous dinner party last night, went to bed absolutely exhausted, and awoke this morning to see your expensive, heirloom tablecloth and silver candlesticks covered in melted candle wax! Not to worry! Your favorite tablecloth and candlesticks are NOT ruined! Simply follow these simple steps and by this time tomorrow, your tablecloth and candlesticks will be good as new once again! Remove tablecloth and/or candlestick from dinner table. DO NOT TRY TO SCRAPE OR RUB THE WAX NOW! Fold cloth with the wax facing outward. Place the folded tablecloth or candlestick in a plastic bag. Squeeze out any excess air. Tie the bag closed. Place the entire bag into the freezer till tomorrow. The next day, remove the bag from the freezer. Open it to find the frozen wax. IMMEDIATELY use dull-edged butter knife to gently loosen the wax and lift it away from the cloth or candlestick. After lifing wax away, launder tablecloth according to label instructions or polish candlestick as usual.
