How Do You Remove Latex Paint From Woodwork?

Obviously you’ll want to approach the problem carefully so that you don’t remove the finish from the wood. There are several techniques, starting with very simple ones that should help you remove the latex paint. Grab a damp rag and remove as much as you can if you have just splattered the paint onto the woodwork. Most of the time, this will take care of the problem. Use a sharp putty knife and gently scrape paint that is dry to see if the splatters will pop off. If the woodwork has a high gloss finish, this is often an easy fix. Try a chemical, such as Goof-Off, if scraping the paint did not remove it. Spray the paint and wait a few minutes to let the chemical dissolve the paint.
