How Do You Remove Label Glue From Glass Bottles?

0

You can find some great glass jars and bottles to use for craft and decorating projects right in the grocery. Before you can start on your project, you will want a clean surface on which to work. Here are the steps you’ll need to take to remove the label and glue from glass jars and bottles. Wash any remaining food residue out with hot, soapy water. You won’t need to dry the bottles and jars to proceed. Allow the jar to soak for at least 15 minutes in very hot water. This will loosen the label and soften the adhesive. Remove the label. If it has been soaking, it may have fallen off already, or will readily lift up and off without leaving too many scraps behind. Use the scratcher to work off the remaining adhesive, which should be softened up enough after soaking. At this point, it should be easily removable without applying much pressure. Continue this process until the surface is free of the glue. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. If there is any remaining glue, apply adhesive remove
