How Do You Remove Internet Explorer From A Mac?

0

From 1997 to 2003, Macintosh computers came pre-loaded with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer web browser. In 2003, with the introduction of Apple’s Safari web browser, Microsoft stopped development on Internet Explorer for Mac. In a Macworld article, Microsoft explained that, “Apple has better resources because they have Safari and the operating system.” Internet Explorer for Mac does not include an uninstaller program, so you have to delete the application file manually. Internet Explorer for Mac does not create a “Preference” file, so you only need to delete the main application file. Click on the Internet Explorer icon in the “Applications” folder. Drag the file to the Trash in the Dock. Drop the file on the Trash when the Trash icon darkens. Go to the “Finder” menu and select “Erase.” Confirm the selection in the pop-up window.
