How Do You Remove Interior Strut Mount Parts?
“Hi my name is Nat McCullough on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to talk about some of the interior components that you need to remove to gain access to your upper strut mount. The manufacture could use a wide range of fasteners to hold the plastic portion of your interior together. I have one of them here as a example. Now what you have is a stud and some spreader as you take a look the spreaders are on the outside and this is in the attached position. Now to remove these style fasteners the center needs popped out. You could do that with a small flat screwdriver or pick or whatever tool you decide to use. Don’t try to just yank them out. You would break them and they are about a buck fifty a piece. What you do is pop the center out just like that and you could slide the assembly out of its corresponding mounting hole.
