The best solution would to revisit the store to have the ink tab properly removed, but in case you cannot go back, you can quickly access your clothing with an easy solution. Turn a kitchen stove on to the highest setting (or use a lighter) to heat an old butter knife for 30 to 60 seconds. Lay out a sheet of newspaper on a flat, hard surface. Place the ink tab on the flat service to ground it during removal, reducing the chance for the ink to spill onto garment. Use the heated knife to cut and melt open the end piece of the ink tab where the entry to the ink vials is located. Reheat the knife as needed.
