Blot up the ink with cotton batting (you can get this at a quilting store or you can use the cotton stuffing that comes in aspirin and other medications). Be extra careful not to let the stain spread. Next take a fresh piece of cotton batting and dampen it in milk. Sop up the stain carefully. You may need to repeat this several times, using fresh cotton and milk each time. Continue till it all disappears. Dampen fresh batting with warm water and a little dish soap. Sop at the area. You may need to repeat several times using fresh batting each time. Pat area dry. Dispose of the ink stained batting properly. Keep kids out of the area while the working on the carpet. Next time – try to be more careful.
