How Do You Remove Ink From A Laundry Dryer?
No one wants to open a clothes dryer to remove clean laundry only to discover an exploded pen has left ink stains in the interior and on the clothing. One batch of laundry is ruined, and unless you clean the dryer immediately, chances are you’ll be removing ink-smeared clothes for weeks. Home remedies can solve this messy problem. Spray the inside of the dryer drum with hair spray until all surfaces are thoroughly saturated. Avoid breathing the fumes as you spray. Throw into the dryer four or five clean rags or a roll of paper towels torn into individual sheets and balled up loosely. Run the dryer about 45 minutes on the highest heat setting. Remove the soiled rags or paper towels and discard. Pour rubbing alcohol onto a sponge and wipe down the inside of the dryer to remove all residual ink. Spin the empty dryer for another 45-minute cycle to get rid of the hair spray fumes. Wipe down the inside of the dryer with paper towels a final time before adding laundry.
