Faded, foggy or peeling window tint on a household window can be a distraction and an eyesore. Sparkling, clean windows do wonders to brighten up any room in the house. The glass windows in the home that will mostly contain window tint will be the large sliding glass doors that lead out to the backyard, especially if they face the rising or setting sun. Old window tint, filled with oxidation and scratches, can come off with a few simple tools and steps. Wait for a warm, sunny day when the window faces direct sunlight. Use a pair of scissors to cut large enough sections of garbage bag plastic to completely cover the inside and outside of the window surface. Lay the sections down in an orderly profile so you can tape them up quickly.
