How Do You Remove Hard Water Spots From Paint?

0

Hard water spots on paint occur on such items as a car or motorcycle. Drops of rain or water spray from puddles settle on the paint and if not wiped away, dry onto the surface leaving white marks. The white marks are minerals such as calcium that does not evaporate and can bake into the paint’s surface if left in the sun. Removing hard water spots are simple if you know the correct procedure. Put on rubber gloves. Wet the paint with a bucket of water or a garden hose. Wash the paint with a mixture of dish detergent and water. Wash over the entire painted surface with the sudsy water. Rinse the painted surface with cool water from a bucket or garden hose. Pour distilled white vinegar into a bucket and apply to the hard water spots with a sponge. If you are applying the vinegar wash to large items like a car, do one section at a time. Rub the hard water stains with the vinegar solution and the sponge. Allow the vinegar to remain on the stains for 30 to 60 seconds, then rinse vinegar off
