How Do You Remove Hard Water Haze, Spotting And Soap Haze From Glass And Glassware?
An easy way to remove hard water haze, spotting and soap haze from glass and glassware. Purchase a pack of triple aught “000” or quadruple aught “0000” steel wool pads at a local hardware store. FOR GLASSWARE: Put down a sheet of plastic, a garbage bag, old news paper or an old vinyl table cloth to cover the work area as small residue from the steel wool pads will accumulate on the work area. Take each glass, dry, and rub the surface gently with a quadruple aught “0000” or triple aught “000” steel wool pad and the haze will quickly disappear. FOR GLASS SURFACES: When cleaning a highly soapy glass surface such as glass shower doors, you may need to first wet the glass with warm or hot water or use a bucket of warm or hot water to dunk the steel wool pad in between each rubbing. Rinse the pad frequently if it accumulates soap residue and rotate it often during use.
