How Do You Remove Hard Water Deposits From Dishes?

0

Learn how to remove hard water deposits from your dishes without any scrubbing. Purchase a jug of distilled, white vinegar. Store-brand is just fine; you’ll need about half gallon. Spend as little as possible- buy the cheapest stuff you can find. Fill the sink with cold water (not hot). Add half of the white distilled vinegar. The exact ratio is not important- eyeball it. Leave room in the sink for dishes. Don’t use hot water- the hard water deposits won’t come off as well. Place dishes in the sink one at a time; let them sit in the vinegar-water for 3-4 hours. You’ll see very fine bubbles on the dishes- this is the chemical reaction between the vinegar and the deposits. Remove dishes from water- dunk them several times in the sink before moving to a drying rack. Repeat steps 3&4 with subsequent batches of dishes until complete. Replace lost water with vinegar.
