Hair extensions can be a lot of fun and can add quick length to any hair, but they have some disadvantages. Very long extensions can be quite heavy and can even cause headaches. If used over a long period, extensions can cause your natural hair to thin. Extensions can also do damage to your natural hair, making it more difficult to eventually grow your real hair long. Whatever the reason you no longer wish to keep your extensions, you can remove them at home. Apply a generous amount of bond remover to a cotton square. Wrap the cotton square around the extension you want to remove. Move your fingers gently back and forth to work the bond remover into the glue. Allow the bond remover to sit on the hair extension for about a minute. When the bond remover has had time to work, grasp the end of the extension with a pair of pliers.
