How Do You Remove Gum Stains From Carpet?

Uh O. Did someone leave their gum on your carpet? Gum stains can be some of the toughest to remove. However, there are a few tips and tricks to help you remove gum from carpet easily. Here is a step by step guide on how to remove gum stains from carpet. Cut any large pieces of gum out of the carpet with a pair of scissors. If the gum stain is small enough, the whole section can be cut out of the carpet. Fill a plastic bag with ice cubes and hold it tightly against the gum stain. This will freeze the gum and cause it to break apart when we remove it later. To make sure the gum is completely frozen, hold the bag against the spot for 5 minutes. Using a pair of tweezers, remove the fragments of gum. If you are not able to remove all of the gum on the first try, re freeze the section and repeat this step. Touch up the area by scrubbing it with a carpet spot cleaner.
