How Do You Remove Grout From Ceramic Tile?
Installing ceramic tiles can be a messy business. When the job is complete there may be grout still left on the top of the tiles. Even the professionals can leave behind a bit of grout after an installation. Cleaning the grout from your ceramic tiles can be accomplished by anyone with a little knowledge. To remove this excess dried grout you only need some patience, a couple of simple tools, and a few minutes of your time. Use your plastic putty knife to scrape off any large chunks of dried grout. Hold the knife at a 45 degree angle and scrape into the excess grout. Wipe away any loose grout, dirt, and debris with a clean dry rag. Wet your sponge in the warm water. Wring out the sponge. Wipe the excess grout with your wet sponge. This should clean off the excess grout on the tiles. Remember to keep re-wetting and wringing out your sponge so that it remains clean throughout the process. Dry and complete the cleaning with clean, dry rags.
