How Do You Remove Greasy Residue From Kitchen Cabinets?

0

Kitchen cabinets built around cooking areas are often prone to the greasy residue buildup that seems difficult to remove. Harsh grease-stripping chemicals may seem like the only alternative to cut through the sticky mess. Solvents such as paint stripper or denatured alcohol may damage or discolor cabinet finishes. Before you attempt to use a solvent on your cabinets, try a few gentle remedies that can effectively cut through grease to make your cabinets look brand new. In a large bucket mix 2 tsp. of a grease-cutting dish soap such as Dawn with 2 cups of warm water. Use a sponge or microfiber cloth to apply the mixture to the cabinet surface. Rub gently in a circular motion on painted, vinyl and metal cabinets. Follow the grain on wood cabinets. Allow mixture to rest on the surface for 5 minutes. Fill a second bucket with clean warm water. Add 2 tsp. white vinegar to every 2 cups of water. Vinegar will help remove any remaining soap residue. Use a clean sponge or cloth to rinse the cab
