How Do You Remove Grease To Paint A Car?
“If you’ve seen many of the clips that we’ve done here at the shop you’re probably sick of me talking about getting things clean. But, here we go again. Alex is wiping everything down. This is a lint-free towel used just in the paint booth. He’s sprayed wax and grease remover on the whole surface and he’s wiping it down. Gonna get all the dust that’s left over any greasy finger prints, any silicone. You wouldn’t believe it but sometimes, when we do a paint repair on a car, we’ll sand it, we’ll grind it, we’ll weld it. We’ll do the body work and everything. And Armor-All from ten years earlier will cause the paint to have a problem. So, Alex will do this step twice with the wax and grease remover. He’ll wipe it down with his towel and he’ll dry it off really carefully and then do it again. I can’t emphasize enough how important things being clean when you do your paint work is.
