How Do You Remove Grease Stains From Cloth?

0

Grease stains on cloth often seem difficult to remove, however most can be removed very quickly with common household products. Place the cloth with grease stain on a hard surface, such as a counter-top or table-top, with a sheet of waxed paper directly under the grease stain. If stain is on a garment such as a shirt, make sure the waxed paper is under the layer with the stain. This will protect the other areas of the cloth and the surface underneath. Dip a cotton swab into the dish soap. Rub the grease stain with the coated cotton swab. Make sure to cover the entire area of the grease stain with a thick layer of the dish soap. Let the dish soap soak into the fabric for approximately 10 minutes. (It is okay if it starts to dry.) Rinse off the dish soap with cold water and check to see if the grease stain is gone. If the grease stain is still there you may need to repeat the steps. After you have determined that the stain has been removed, launder the cloth or garment as usual.
